For another year, the summer season on the island of St. Anastasia begins with interesting events. Traditionally, the "Friends of the Sea" association organizes cleaning of the island's water area. The eco initiative will take place on June 14, Saturday. All residents and guests of Burgas who want to be part of the event can reserve places for sailing to the island at 9:00 and 11:30.
The 9:00 am course will provide passengers with an opportunity to meet the divers and observe the dive to the underwater park and on their way out they will clean the seabed. The ship will then dock at the island where all guests will be entertained with music on the beach throughout the day and will be greeted with the famous clams on the tin.
Another highlight of the event will be the official opening of the St. Anastasia underwater park. The attractive object is located in the immediate vicinity of the island of the same name in the Burgas Bay. The first exhibits, which are part of the park, were submerged in the month of May at the bottom of the sea by volunteers of the association with the help of a floating crane "Antey". These are the GAZ-13 cars, better known as "Seagull" and a radio relay station on a ZIL 157 chassis.
From 11:00 a.m., a festive water light will be held in the "Assumption" temple on the occasion of the opening of the summer season on the island of St. Anastasia.
Guests who have mandatory equipment and certification can dive to the underwater park - one of the top attractions in the Burgas region.
