For the third consecutive year, association "Lumen" and National Literary Competition "The Sea!" guest at the "Sofia Film Fest on the Coast".
We remind you that this is a continuation of one of our joint creative initiatives - in addition to presenting the award-winning works in the competition and sharing them with new audiences, to implement common projects, to unite around meaningful causes, to provoke each other, going beyond our limits. Charged and inspired by the creative power and unstoppable power of the sea - irrefutably and sealed forever in the crystal of the verse of the great Hristo Fotev as "the greatest event".
The 23rd edition continues in this spirit. Therefore, another favorite Burgas location is included in the festival program. This is the "Peyo Yavorov" Regional Library, where on March 26 at 6 p.m. the premiere of the "Greenpeace - Bulgaria" film "I, the Sea - Life in Silence" directed by Lubo Yonchev will take place.
Never-before-seen footage of life in the depths of the Black Sea awaits viewers, who will learn more about marine ecosystems, about unregulated trawling, about the environmental consequences of gas extraction projects, about the effects on the Black Sea of the war in Ukraine. "In the film, people will be able to see what remains under the surface - the life in the Black Sea. So that we can all think together how important it is for us to protect it", share the creators of the film.
After the film event, the public can visit the maritime reading corner of the "Lumen" association, which will be located right next to the library's auditorium. For several days, everyone will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the NLC "Moreto!" and will be able to read the awarded works from the 9th edition of the competition.
*** Tickets for the films are sold at the Chasovnika box office and the NHK box office.
