The Burgas divers will once again participate in the attractive retro diving on the occasion of the holiday of Burgas - Nikulden. The event is scheduled for 11.00 on 06.12.2025 /Saturday/ on the platform of the Bridge. Its organizers are the SNC "Friends of the Sea".
Divers will once again enter the sea wearing vintage equipment from the 1960s and demonstrate how it is used. The equipment includes a dry medium-diversity airtight suit, which is entered through the upper part. In order to do this, the help of three people is needed to assist. The helmet, which is placed on the head, is integrated with a wired communication system and a manual pressure release valve in the suit, which is controlled by pressure from the diver. In order for him to sink, lead weights are placed on his chest and back. Each of them weighs 16 kg. Finally, the diver puts on shoes weighing about twenty kilograms. They protect his legs and keep him upright while on the bottom.
The divers will also present an interesting retro diving system - closed loop. With it, with chemical means, carbon dioxide is absorbed from the exhaled air and, after being enriched with oxygen, it is inhaled again.
This time, each of the participants will receive a certificate certifying that they participated in the attractive demonstration.
