Burgas is preparing to become a center of strategic dialogue for the future of the Black Sea region. On October 24, the International Congress Centerwill host the international forum "Black Sea 2030: Partnership for a Sustainable Future" - a key initiative that aims to outline the path to sustainable development and closer cooperation between countries in the region.
The Municipality of Burgas, in partnership with the "ProspectiM" Association, the scientific community, the maritime business and the non-governmental sector, join forces to create a platform for visionary ideas and exchange of good practices. The event will bring together representatives of local and national authorities, European institutions, universities, civil organizations and businesses to discuss concrete solutions and policies for sustainable development.
The forum will focus on several key topics - the green transition, the protection of the marine and coastal environment, digitalization and the promotion of innovation in the blue economy. The discussions are expected to contribute to the creation of new partnerships between the public sector, academia and maritime business, as well as outline practical steps to accelerate the transition to a sustainable development model.
The organizers aim to make the forum an annual event that will establish Burgas as a regional hub for dialogue and policies in the Black Sea basin. In this way, the city will strengthen its role as a leader in contemporary debates on sustainable local development, innovation and protection of natural resources.
With the "Black Sea 2030: Partnership for a Sustainable Future" initiative, Burgas is taking another step towards consolidating its image as a modern, open and future-oriented city, ready to be a bridge between countries and institutions working for a cleaner, more innovative and prosperous Black Sea.
