Odesa National Maritime University at Sea Tech Week 2026: Strengthening International Cooperation and Blue Innovation
Odesa National Maritime University (ONMU) is taking part in Sea Tech Week 2026 in Brest, France — one of the major international events dedicated to marine science, technology and innovation. Over three days, the event brings together around 1,000 participants from different countries, representing academia, industry, research organisations, public authorities and the wider maritime innovation ecosystem.
ONMU is represented at the event by Associate Professors Viktoriia Smrkovska and Natella Khoneliia, whose participation takes place within the framework of the Blue Gates project, supported by the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme.
For more than 25 years, Sea Tech Week has served as a meeting point for the international maritime community, providing a platform for the exchange of knowledge on the latest scientific and technological advances. The programme combines high-level conferences, exhibitions, expert discussions, technological demonstrations and professional networking.
Participation in Sea Tech Week is especially important for ONMU and the Blue Gates project, as it creates opportunities to exchange expertise with leading European stakeholders, explore emerging maritime technologies and strengthen cooperation in the fields of Blue Economy, digitalisation, sustainability and smart maritime solutions.
